About "Shodh"

India is an agricultural country where farming plays a vital role. However, much of this agriculture is not practiced in a sustainable or organic manner. Traditional methods often lack the principles of organic farming, leading to environmental degradation and reduced product quality. The goal of “Shodh” is to introduce sustainable organic farming techniques to as many farmers as possible. Through our innovative methodology, we inspire farmers to enhance both the quality and productivity of organic fruits, vegetables, grains, and other agricultural products.

What We Do?

In India, every farmer should embrace cash crops or organic farming. Organic farming not only protects the environment but also offers long-term economic benefits. To support this, we provide farmers with various guidelines and advanced technologies that help them improve their farming practices and boost production. We equip farmers with the necessary information and tools to better understand farming techniques. To increase their income, we teach them how to select crops based on market demand and effectively manage supply. Additionally, we explain the methods needed to achieve maximum yield in limited areas. By guiding farmers through the entire process—from crop cultivation to the sale of their produce—we help them enhance their business potential and profitability.

How We Work

Our approach involves visiting farmers directly at their farms and providing on-site guidance. We analyze the soil type, water availability, and environmental conditions specific to each farmer’s land to offer tailored advice. We explain how to choose the most suitable fruit crops based on soil quality, water resources, and climate. In addition, we assist farmers with long-term planning for fruit crop production, helping them create plans for the next 10, 15, 20, or even 100 years. We also guide them in setting up mixed orchards, which can generate diversified income streams. With the expertise of our specialists, we provide farmers with comprehensive information on proper orchard management practices, yield improvement strategies, and the associated economic benefits. This support enables farmers to enhance the efficiency of their farms and increase production.

Guava, Fig and Custard apple included in "Fruitnet"

APEDA has recently included guava, fig, and custard apple in its exportable fruit registration system. In light of this, APEDA has introduced a system called “Fruitnet” to streamline the registration of exportable fruit orchards. This development was featured in the renowned agricultural newspaper, Agrovan, published by the Sakal News Service. With “Fruitnet,” exporting fruits just got easier—opening new doors for farmers to expand their global reach!

Fruit Trees and Their Species

Farmers today are exploring various farming methods, but at Shri Sai Mauli Sustainable Organic Farming, we have adopted a unique approach inspired by Miyawaki Forest Technology, developed by Japanese agriculture experts. If dense forests can grow rapidly through this method, why can’t we apply the same principle to create fruit forests? This inspired us to start floor farming and mixed fruit farming on one acre of our seven-acre farm. Despite using resources like fertilizer, water, and labor for just one acre, our production output is equivalent to that of five to seven acres. We have planted a variety of indigenous and exotic fruit trees, developed through our own research and development (R&D). We practice super-dense farming, planting guava trees at intervals of 9×2 feet or 6×2 feet in certain areas. On one acre alone, we grow the equivalent of what would normally be spread across three acres. In total, we have cultivated six acres of fruit trees, including mango, jackfruit, cashew, swietenia, and coconut, along with many other varieties.

Our key objectives include embankment farming, mixed orchards, floor farming, the development of an oxygen plant, and the promotion of agro-tourism. We work with over 15 to 16 varieties of fruit trees and provide guidance to farmers to help them achieve production worth lakhs of rupees.

Our guiding principle is simple: demand equals supply, meaning we are committed to providing farmers with 100% sustainable, organic produce.
